Who are you guys?
We all work at My Bible Tool, which is a product of the Center for Bible Engagement in Lincoln, Nebraska. Who are you?
Where did this whole idea come from?
In 2004, the Center for Bible Engagement started researching a pretty simple question: why do so many people have Bibles, and so few read them?
The results were surprising. They found out that, first of all, reading the Bible actually changes lives for the better. They can prove it. It will help your marriage. It will help your job. It will help you make better decisions. It’s an amazing Book.
But the CBE found out that, although lots of people believe that the Bible is important, most of them are just too busy to read it very much. It’s not that they don’t think it’s important, it’s just that there’s not enough time.
That’s where we come in.
Now, what exactly do you do?
Well, a lot of things, but it all comes back to finding creative, realistic ways for everyone to get the Bible into their lives more. Our goal is to make the Bible as real and relevant to your life as possible, using whatever technology we can find (and, sometimes, creating some of our own.)
Why are you doing this?
It’s simple. We believe that the best way to live is in friendship with God, and we think that the Bible is essential to knowing and trusting him. Making the Bible available to more people at more times is actually going to help people live better, fuller, more complete lives, and that’s something that really excites us.
